OPC Router Release 5.2

Postgre SQL – Powerful open source database

With the new OPC Router Version 5.2. it is possible to connect the PostgreSQL database. PostgreSQL is a powerful, object-relational open source database system that has been actively developed for more than 35 years. The database system impresses above all with its reliability, robustness of functions and performance. At the same time, the database offers a great deal of flexibility in terms of connectivity thanks to XML and JSON, as well as a number of advantages in terms of practical realization and implementation thanks to its lightweight structure.

You can find everything you need to know about the new OPC Router Plug-in on the PostgreSQL Plug-in page or try out the OPC Router 5.2 directly with the new plug-in.

More possibilities with JSON

With the new OPC Router version 5.2, there is also an addition to working with JSON. The new JSON transform in the OPC Router can convert data more easily into the popular JSON format. Together with JSONata, a JSON document can be transformed quickly and easily for further use.

The JSON transform can recognize header and payload data of a JSON structure and automatically transforms them into an equal and uniform JSON structure to make working with JSON even easier.

Enhancements in working with SAP

Together with the new change in working with JSON, the OPC Router is now able to convert data from SAP directly into a JSON format. This data can then be transferred to other systems and devices via JSON and processed directly.

In addition, the SAP trigger object has been given the option to include tables and parameters in the input and output. Queue processing via qRFC is also supported with the OPC Router 5.2 for sending IDocs to SAP.

Extensions in the database connection

The OPC Router now has even more setting options for reading data from a database. The data read out can now be individually marked by the OPC Router in a separate column.
